Greenhouse Glazing Systems
We use four different glazing systems based on our customers
needs: single pane glass, double pane glass, twin wall polycarbonate,
and triple wall polycarbonate.
All glass and polycarbonate greenhouses have standard 5'6"
sidewalls.
Continuous, exterior capping system to secure the glazing
and maintain the airtight seal.
Small glass sizes for easy installation.
All glazing systems can be lined with polyurethane using
plastic clips to increase heat insulation and reduce heating
bills in the winter.
Which Glazing System is Right for you?
BC Greenhouse Builders is pleased to offer many different
glazing systems to personalize your greenhouse to your exact
needs and tastes.
Single Glaze Glass:
Single glazing is the most economical glazing system and
provides gardeners with the pleasure of being able to see
into their green house at their leisure. It is adequate
for keeping a "cool greenhouse" in our coastal
climate.
R value = 0.9
Twin wall Polycarbonate:
The 6mm twin wall is the next most economical glazing
material. It is a great "growing greenhouse" as
it offers ample heat insulation and diffuses harmful sunlight
in the summer. It is 200 times stronger than single glaze
glass, making it very safe in a family environment. The
insulation will prevent the temperature in the greenhouse
from changing drastically.
R value = 1.53
Double Glaze Glass:
Double Glaze Glass offers the gardener a spectacular view
of plants and flowers while maintaining a superb heat insulation
for all types of growing.
R value = 2.04
Triple wall Polycarbonate:
The 16mm Triple wall offers unequalled insulating properties
and is recommended for any climate that has extended periods
of below freezing temperature. It is the best growing greenhouse,
as it minimizes drastic temperature changes and diffuses
harmful sun rays.
