Thunder Bay, Ontario
Project Overview:
Developed to support year-round local food production in Northern Ontario’s challenging climate, the gutter connect greenhouses were designed as commercial-scale growing facilities. The interconnected greenhouse structures improve operational efficiency, environmental control, and crop consistency while reducing dependence on imported produce. The project was advanced through municipal planning initiatives focused on food security, economic diversification, and sustainable agriculture. Engineered for heavy snow loads and extreme seasonal temperatures, the greenhouses provide a durable controlled-environment agriculture solution that extends growing capacity and strengthens regional access to fresh produce throughout the year.
